Having completed Tomb Raider 2 for the second time, I have finally waved goodbye to classic 90's video games. I'm sure I will revisit before the year is out, but in the mean time I have begun my epic quest in Fable 2.
I have never played this game before but it id fair to say that I absolutely love it. It is almost (dare I say it) a better version of FF7. So far, I have taught my dog some tricks (my in-game dog named after my real-life dog - it's that bad already!), farted at a lot of people and been affianced to an alchemist (he has since had second thoughts and jilted me. I wouldn't mind so much, but he was given my best ring).
I began the game very morally; not stealing or robbing. Now, if I can get away with it, I do (and I get away with a lot!). I accidentally killed a villager before pillaging the cart that I assumed he had overturned. Turns out it was a group of bandits a little further along and this villager was merely scavenging. Ah well, I like to think I was smiting-by-proxy.
A little more disturbing is my initiation into the Order of the Temple of Shadows - a dark cult who enjoy ritual human sacrifice and frequent maiming of innocents (Poker night is Friday). Having gained acceptance by the ingestation of five living chicks, I thought I was there merely for the scenery however, I have since led a harmless villager to be sacrificed in a horrible way. Still, it was only the one... and nobody saw me... and I did sell the robes I was given as a start-up gift...
